Illegal Free in the AZ

Obsolete cameras strategically placed in various shrubbery around the border separating our United States from Mexico track daily, over one hundred Mexican residents climbing over the wall and setting off on foot, in car and through tunnels to begin their illegal lives in the states.

As of today, 450,000 of these criminals are walking amongst law-abiding Arizona citizens via naturalization, legal immigration or nativity, that is nearly 10 percent of the population. In fact, 80% of illegal immigrants enter the country through Arizona. It is no secret the burden this creates for the Grand Canyon state as well as the nation. State funds distributed via the federal government annually have increased for Arizona and nearly doubled since illegal immigration became an issue nearly 8 years ago.

The west coast has been disproportionately affected by illegal immigration for obvious reasons with an average of 90% of Hispanics claiming to know an illegal through relation or other-wise.

Finally, action has taken place. Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed an immigration reform bill on Friday that allows police at the border to question people about their immigration status and request identification if they suspect someone is in the country illegally.

Instead of addressing this issue in a rational way, the left has perpetuated this conflict into a racial war citing anyone and everyone to be a bigot for up-holding all people to the law. And they’ve found an ideal candidate: another colored person.
The infamous Reverend Al Sharpton has decided to spin this legislation as a civil rights violation, and pledging to Work with the Hispanic Federation to engage in civil disobedience. Unfortunately for all of us, protestors of this bill have been anything but civil.

Riots have taken place throughout Arizona and even areas of California that include camera breaking, graffiti, violent threats and even slurs toward Obama. Major news outlets have refused to cover much of this violence, the NY Post and CNN referred as of late to all of these protests as “peaceful.”

This leaves Fox news to tell the truth. Sharpton was also heard saying quote: “You cannot say you are looking to stop Mexican immigration without looking for Mexicans.” Sharpton is completely ignorant to the context of the bill Jan Brewer released: A person can only be checked for identification if they Have been stopped for another crime: speeding, robbery, etc.

Then, if suspected of illegal immigration, police may ask for citizenship status. The point is, not to blame this legislation, who’s only flaw is that it is 5 years late, but blame the 12 million illegal persons in this country who have arrogantly spit on our law while demanding to live among us.

I agree with you that the law is good, if it is done correctly. I don't know if you have ever been harassed by the cops and this law will open a can of worms. This give cops the opening to stop people for nothing and say they thought something was wrong. Who will the judges believe? Certainly not you. I will bet you a dollar to a doughnut that the law will be abused.

Legally speaking the law only permits people already arrested for an unrelated crime to be checked for citizenship status.

No one waiting at the bus stop can be asked for citizenship, however, a person going 65 in a residential neighborhood can be asked for citizenship along with the ID and insurance they are asked for anyway.

The law just adds one more security measure to already-in-place legal proceedings.

Take a look at the law in action with videos on CNN and FOXNEWS.com. Over 90% of stops since its enactment have resulted in detaining illegal immigrants who would have otherwise remained here.
